Description
The associate degree program in Electroneurodiagnostic Technology prepares competent entry-level Neurodiagnostic Technologists, specializing in Electroencelphagrams (EEG) with additional expertise in the following additional areas: Evoked Potentials (EP); Intraoperative Neuromonitoring (IONM); Nerve Conduction Students (NCS) and Polysomnography (PSG), in the cognitive (knowledge), psychomotor (skills), and affective (behavior) learning domains. Electroneurodiagnostic is the allied health care profession that records, monitors, and analyzes nervous system functions to promote the effective treatment of pathologic conditions. Technologists record electrical activity arising from the brain, spinal cord, peripheral nerves, somatosensory or motor nerve systems using a variety of techniques and instruments. Technologists prepare data and documentation for interpretation by a physician. As part of the program, the students will complete a non-paid, supervised health-related practicum in a medical setting. A grade of “C” or higher is required in all program courses to remain in the program.
Note: For students under age 18 there may be restrictions on participating in certain Health Sciences programs. Any student under age 18 must contact the program director/department chair to discuss whether he or she may enroll.

Sinclair Community College’s Electroneurodiagnostic Technology program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Program (CAAHEP: https://www.caahep.org/Home.aspx).
