Description
This degree program offers a comprehensive, university-parallel curriculum designed to prepare students for successful transfer to four-year institutions while providing them with a broad foundation in both the artistic and practical aspects of theatre. Students can customize their program of study to focus on either Acting or Theatre Technology, allowing them to specialize in their area of interest while gaining a well-rounded education in theatre. Students must pass all THE courses with a grade of C or better. As part of this degree program, students must complete the requirements of the Ohio Transfer 36 in order to graduate.
Career Opportunities
Employment opportunities are available in areas such as performer, director, educator, dramaturge, playwright, arts administrator, company business or artistic manager, designer, technician, or stage manager. These positions can commonly be found in theatre, film, television commercials, voice over work, theme parks, cruise ships, education, rock shows, museums, churches, or fashion. This Theatre Performance degree also provides skills to enrich any career that requires artistic research, presentations, customer service, confidence or communication, safety troubleshooting, management, and creative problem solving.
